If you need a strong back...
« on: September 05, 2011, 11:27:49 AM »
Just wanted to throw this out there...
I recently moved to Washington for work about four moths ago. I'm an avid archery hunter, albeit fairly new and not the most successful archer I know  :dunno: As I have moved about 800 miles from my family and friends, I have been spending all my free time in the woods. I have been scouting hard since late May and will easily put 10-20 miles on the boots most weekends.
I was out Saturday and Sunday hunting Blacktail, and without getting too involved BLEW a good stalk on a nice forkie  :bash: The elk in the unit I was in were starting to talk, and it was AWESOME!

I really want to learn more and more about all aspects of this incredible sport. I'm 26, have a good job, a nice little house, and a passion for hunting. If anyone could use a strong back, another set of eyes, a sharp knife, or a buddy to help pack out some meat, let me know...

I'm not an expert in anything regarding bow hunting, just a guy looking to learn.

Dude I could have used your strong back Wednesday to help me pack out my 5x5 Bull!  I am looking for a new partner, had to go it alone this year and at 52 years old it ain't easy packing out.  I live in Puyallup so if you are interested shoot me a PM

msteffens55 - let's head out this coming weekend.  I'm pretty new to bowhunting, like you I transplanted here for work.  My family in WI has a hunting tradition, but for whatever reasons (confused youth?  head injury? both apply, in this case) I became more involved with it only after I moved away.  This is my 3rd archery season, but the first one I can devote any real time towards (family, work).

We'll have 2 strong backs in our favor.  And enthusiasm.  But maybe not much in the way of Jedi mind tricks.
