Thanks guys!  Nope never killed a bear this year.  Far as the story goes we acaully called in two bulls that morning but didnt get the first one. I knew there was a bull in this area because we could here one screaming off in the distance the night before.  As soon as we got to the landing I heard this dragon of a bugle just up the timber not only a few hundred yards away.  Then we heard a different bull bugle about a 100 yards away from that one. We played the wind and got inside the timber.  We didnt know how far away they were so we didnt want to get to far in and bust him so I did some cow chirps.  Didnt hear nothing so I let out a bugle.  One bull let out a scream and I could hear him coming.  Within a minute that bull was 60 yards from my dad broadside but my dad didnt want to shoot that far.  The bull walked off so I cow chirped and bugled again.  This time he was 40 yards broadside to me but there was just a little to much brush for my liking to shoot an arrow through.  I was basicly pinned down.  As this bull is standing there I can hear the first bull that bugled going down in the crick bottom (i could tell it was him by the sound of his bugle.  It was a ROAR!) Anyway the one bull walked off and we tried to get him back but couldnt.  So with that other bull still bugling we decided to go after him.  We knew he was probly the stud because he had the cows so we didnt want him to know we were coming so we booked it down to the bottom and slightly up there other side and let out a bugle.  He  bugled like 100 yards away up hill.  I got really aggressive on the bugle and he came walkin down.  He gave me a 25 yard pose and i let her fly.  Shot through his elbow and hit the heart.  He walked about 30 yards and fell over!  He was making these horrible moaning sounds right before he died to.  Never had one do that before.  I tried to keep the story short but its so hard to do!  Good luck to all you guys flickin sticks!
