Winchester model 91
« on: September 14, 2011, 08:56:32 AM »
I have a single trigger O/U and I am having trouble figuring out how to select what barrel to fire from. Right now its shooting the bottom barrel first and thats a Mod. Choke. The top barrel is a full choke.

I read the model 101 had a thing in the safety that let you select the barrel but this one does not seem to be the same.

I don't think the older doubles gave you the choice.  Logically, the first shot would be closer to the hunter, so the Modified barrel would be first.  Then if there is a second shot, it would be farther away, and a Full Choke would be second shot.  My 101 Skeet set had the selector on the safety knob, if I recall.
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"

The safety should move slight left or right as you slide it up, this selects which barrel..and may have a U - L on each side in small letters..
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.
