The arrow in the tree is where it ended up after going through the Bull...  I was trying to show the distance  (I'm standing where I was when I shot).
Really tense as I had to move everytime he walked behind a tree (quartering towards me)  The shot was a slight quartering away.
So close I had to keep reminding myself to look through the peep and aim!

All that practice for 30-40 yard shots paid off.
Old enough to know better.
Young enough to go for it.

Sounds intense. Very jealous.

Great looking elk, congrats on your first in Washington.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.
You are never to old to learn something stupid.

Didnt' know I could say openly on the forum...
Mike Jenkins - Upfront Outfitters..  Chris was my guide..... Great guy, knows his stuff and obviously can call them in!
Good food, nice place to crash at night, and even a shower!!
Oh.... took me right to the Elk.
