Bench Beast,  Awesome Bull!   Did you have some help from some horse hunters getting your bull out?  I just got a call from the hunter (the 1 rifle tag) in that groups wife.  Her hubby just called her, I guess he shot what she said is a huge bull.  I showed her a pic of your bull.  If your the same guy they helped I guess this bull is a real big boy too.  Anyways, It will probably take them a day or two to get it out.  Just thought I'd pass this on since she said they helped someone with a big bull that was taken at 40 yards in there...

Is the rifle tag holder a member on this site?

Yes aer212, the rifle tag holder is a member of this sight.

Goldeneye... That was me.  I met up with those guys on the trail, and found out he had the riffle tag.  I shared some info with them, and they generously offered to pack out an elk if I got one.  Later that evening I did just that.  Mine is no where near this size, but better than tag soup with one day left and weather changing.  Shared my camp with those guys, and they are class acts.  Hope he shot the bull I think he might have...if so it plays second fiddle to nothing!  It was boss hog in his realm for sure!  Those guys saved me lots of back ache.. was looking at 50 miles total pack board to get him out.  Horses are great!

Good deal Bam.  Yea, they are real good guys.  I should see a cell phone pic of it today.  By the description his wife gave me I believe it might be the bull you are speaking of.  He told his wife that while standing next to the down bull the horns were higher than his chest.

Way to go! Good looking bull, I like the extra curl he has on his brow tines and two's. Can't wait to here a bit more about the hunt and see some more pics.
