Went to a couple seminars by Dan Mar, a well known dog trainer. He believes in a "non hitting" approach to training, so goes as far as possible to do no pain to a dog. But what he suggested, which REALLY worked well. Was find the holes where the dog digs. Usually once you fill them in, they'll redig. Blow up some balloons, and put in hole and cover with dirt. A few times the dog digs, they'll get scared to death and stop. Has worked wonders for us. Our lab doesn't even try to dig anymore.for real try it it works
