Traditions Evolution ML- Question if anyone has one
« on: September 21, 2011, 07:15:05 PM »
the #11 cap falls right off the niple. if i put the cap on and close the bolt i can point the gun straight up and then put it leve and open the bolt and the cap is just laying in the bottom of the bolt. anybody else have this problem? gonna call traditions tomorrow. that is a poor make of a nipple.

You should try going to a musket cap or pinch the #11 cap a little before putting in on

I have spoken with the folks at Traditions quite a bit lateley about a different gun. They are very helpful and quick to respond. They have sent me a bunch of different stuff and all very quickly and without charge.

But like said above- switch to a musket nipple if you can.

They told me to squeeze it when its on the nipple which doesnt work and also try a #10 cap which im gonna try tomorrow. it is still unacceptable for the #11 to fall off that easy. Bi mart said theyve quit a few complaints about traditions doing this. my cousins break open also does it.

is it easy to just switch the nipple? like to a T/C nipple setup? or are the threads/configuration different?
Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional
