Daily Limit The maximum number or poundsof fish, shellfish, or seaweed of a given speciesand size which a person may legally keep in asingle day.
Don't matter where you get em your only allowed a daily limit of salmon. so if the daily limit is 2 in the salt and 3 in the river you can catch 2 in the salt and one in the river or three in the river and 0 in the salt from my understanding...?
You catch a legal one and record it on your catch record, repeat until limit is met.If you limited out and went back out, they would look at yor catch record and depending on whether you were honest and filled it out, they would cite you and probably take your gear.( unless you speak russian and or spanish, chinese, korean or any other language besides english)

You know the answer. You are just trying to play an endless game with words and definitions to allow you to break the rules. You know what the law, ethics and morality say here. You are looking for a dodge around the rules and law.
Daily Limit The maximum number or poundsof fish, shellfish, or seaweed of a given speciesand size which a person may legally keep in asingle day.You May Not:Possess fish or shellfish that do not meet theminimum and maximum size limits, weight limits,or sex restrictions, or that are in excess of thedaily or possession limit.Continue to fish for salmon after the adultportion of the daily limit has been retained.Pretty straight forward. Really,, what more do you need???
So, your daily limit in the salt is 2 coho. The fresh water river you want to fish has a 6 coho limit.
QuoteSo, your daily limit in the salt is 2 coho. The fresh water river you want to fish has a 6 coho limit. So in this case PA BEN, if you catch 2 in the salt then you can only keep 4 in the river since the daily limit is 6 in the river you cannot have more then that on your punch card regardless where you get them, if your in the salt you can only keep 2 like the regs state, if you catch one in the river then go to the salt you can only keep one more. If you catch 2 in the river you cannot fish the salt cause you already have your daily limit punched for the salt even if you caught them in the river. P.S. Your right, people should not be bustin your balls for trying to clarify something in the most confusing rule book known to man, I guess the US tax code coule be a little more confusing I guess !!!
Simply put::Record 2 coho in area 9--you are done in the salt.Motor up the snohomish and record 4 more for the snoho.Yor daily limit is done 6 fish. You have retained your daily limit of adult fish. Yor catch record cannot reflect more than a daily limit. The code entries on your card will tell everyone where you caught yor fish.Abide by the limits for the body of water you are fishing and you are good to go.
You are only allowed to record 1 daily limit on your catch record. You can transport 2 daily limits ie.. get stopped after a sat and sun fishin trip- headin home on sunday
