Put me on a team please.   Good luck to all.

You're close to Yakima, aren't you?  Team member Raul Duke is in Yakima.  So far we have 3 confirmed on the team.  Rules say 5. We aren't "The gang who couldn't shoot straight" Raul and I just can't seem to get a shot off at all!  :chuckle:

Yes I'm in the lower Yakima valley.  Sounds like I would fit in very well.  :chuckle:

contest is pending approval by WDFW, but go ahead and plan teams etc.

Bearpaw,
Is that really true about approval ? And if it is, why ? That seems really assnine to me.
Campmeat

This is Washington state law and we do not want to cross into any shaded areas here on the forum. So I have sent a request in to the proper person for a determination on this competition as well as our Head & Horns competitions. Twice before I was involved in coyote contests and in both cases they said we needed the permit. I would much rather get the permit than be in violation of the law. I am sure everyone feels the same way. Last winter I heard about one coyote hunt that was shut down, we don't want that to happen.

WAC 232-12-169
Hunting contests.

A person wishing to hold a hunting contest must comply with the following provisions:

      (1) Only organizations filed with the state of Washington as a nonprofit corporation may apply for a hunting contest permit.

      (2) Hunting contest permit applications shall be submitted to the department 30 days prior to the date for which the contest is proposed.

      (3) Applications must include the permit fee required by RCW 77.32.211. The fee will be returned if the permit is denied.

      (4) Contests are restricted to the species approved on the permit.

      (5) Total value of prizes per contest shall not exceed $2000.

      (6) Entry fees or requests for donations are prohibited.

      (7) It is unlawful to fail to comply with the conditions of a hunting contest permit.

Hunting contests which may adversely affect wildlife resources will be denied.

Thanx Dale.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

I haven't seen my coyote gun since last spring,(has anybody seen it )  :chuckle:  it may take 30 or 40 rounds just to learn how to shoot again.  With all the dawgs that were killed in this area last year, they have rebounded really well.
