How often do you eat wild game?
« on: October 07, 2011, 08:37:08 AM »
I was curious how often most folks on here eat wild game and thought I'd ask the question.
We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.

Every now and then.  I donate a lot of my wild game as well as beef.  We eat mostly beef, cuz it's what we raise.

Very few days go by that wild game is not on the menu. Wild meat makes up the overwhelming majority of red meat. All hamburger, sausage, roasts, and most steak is wild game. Chikn and the occasional beef steak.

We eat it at least once a week.  Sometimes more.

We don't buy much meat in our house.  Bacon and some chicken, pork ribs now and then for a BBQ.  PathfinderJR and I generally are able to keep the freezer stocked with enough red meat to get us through to the next hunting season.

I haven't eaten wild game since I was about 14 or 15 years old. I am really hoping to get a deer this year though so I can change that. :EAT:

yes, not often enough. guess you have to be successful on a regular basis to keep the freezer full. mine is looking a little empty at this point.

We eat venison atleast a few days a week we have been blessed with some great country to hunt, and my kids have become pretty good shots.  We are working on finishing off the last 25lbs or so of hamburger left from last year, allong with the leftovers of the pig we slaughter every year, and the quarter of beef I get from the neighbor every year as well thank god we have two freezers.
