elk pulled out of Greenwater
« on: October 16, 2011, 07:05:24 PM »
My brother was out hunting in White River today and came across a couple guys who said they were in Greenwater earlier this morning and saw a guy pulling out a big bull elk.  He assumed the guy was part of the indian tribe because he seemed to be ok with hauling it out.  Is there any season open right now for elk out there?

I'm not worried about any of the bulls I'm watching, because none of them are close enough to a road for the Indians to kill, except one, but he's third or fourth on my list.

Well, I guess I can mark that bull off my list, crap. That's ok I expected all the nice bulls close to the road to get killed during deer season.

Just imagine how great that unit could be if the 11 tribes that have the right to hunt there also went by our rules. If they were held accountable for how many they take I believe it could be the best tag to draw on the west side.  But since they get to have a turkey shoot in there for elk the game dept. needs to open that unit back up to a regular season. just my :twocents:
