Coyote down!!
« on: October 18, 2011, 12:01:55 PM »
Well, i havent had time to do much of anything lately, but on my days off every week my huntin partner and i are in the woods callin for predators..its been a blast. We hunted this spot a twice in the past month and we have called in a total of 3 dogs. The first time we hunted it was our second stand of the day and after about 3 minutes of woodpecker distress from the foxpro we called in a double to about 75 yards. my partner (shafump86 on the site) took an off hand shot and missed. The next time we hunted it we set up about 50 yards from where we were sitting the first time and after 5 minutes of so of lettin the foxpro play, we called in another dog. i took a shot with my .243win and anchored her. We ended up skinnin her out because her pelt was pretty nice. she was pretty dark with black streaks running through, and her coat was getting fluffy. This is only my second dog i've ever shot, the first one i called in and killed on the 4th of july. This hunt was also special because we brought along a guy from work who had never been hunting in his life...he was loving every second of it!

Nice One!
