Dillard Creek goat down - pics from hunter

AS some of you know I have been helping out here and there with the Dillard Creek goat tag holder as well. He just emailed me yesterday with pics from his hunt. He was able to tag a nice billy on Wednesday with 9 1/2" horns and 5" bases. Great goat Brent!!!

Here is the story as the hunter emailed it to me:
I spotted him as I was looking over a 450' tall cliff. He was between two sets of cliffs that had one of those little creeks running through it with the mossy type of short grass all around it. You can probably see what I am talking about by the picture. He was just walking around in the grass & short trees by himself. Kind of a rain forest type of area. A lot of moisture compared to a lot of the other areas around him. He didn't appear to be on any established trail or path.
The horns were 9 1/4" long with a 5" circumference. Not a monster, but pretty decent. I shot it at 2:45 yesterday @ about 158 yards @ about a 75% downhill angle. We got back to the truck about 11:30. Weather was about low 60's until about 1pm & then the clouds came in & the temperature dropped to about the low 50's. Got down to the goat about 3:15 & the fog immediately set in to a visible range of about 50 yards. Then the rain came about 5pm. Looks like the timing was just about right. Another half hour longer and I would have never seen it.
