BLUEBULLS buck
« on: October 24, 2011, 06:32:12 PM »

Here is my 11' buck. I missed a great buck opening day and passed on some 3's with high hopes of finding the big one again in a little better situation but when this guy showed himself, I couldn't resist.

Nothing more satisfying than hauling them in pieces :)

Why do you have the hoof still on when you are packing it out?

cuz I'm tuffer than $%&! :chuckle:

just kidding. Usually I'd cut it off or if he was a little farther I would have boned him but the pack wasn't all that far and I had help. All four only equal a couple pounds total and they come in kinda handy when hanging, transporting, etc.

I don't bone them unless I have to, I like them to hang for a few days and you lose a little more meat when they're boned.

definitely money well spent. The pack out wasn't bad. I had maybe the best guy I know along to help pack him out. He had 2 quarters to a road and was back just as I was finishing up. I had to return the favor the next day and he's so nice, knowing that I'm not as big as him, he shot his 100 yards from the road to make it easy for me :chuckle:

LOL. That makes it nice! I still need to pull the trigger on a pair of those boots. My dad bought a pair of 10.5's. Even with my feet jammed in them they still felt awesome! :chuckle:

Nice buck there..
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Nice Jake!  I would not have passed him either.  We need to plan a shed trip without that turd Josh.   :chuckle:   maybe then I might find one.
I've hunted almost everyday of my life, the rest have been wasted.
