Big blacktail
« on: October 26, 2011, 10:18:16 PM »
So last weekend we jumped a nice buck while doing a drive through some reprod. He did not seem too scared as he walked off and we just didnt have a good shot. M question is, with the forecast calling for rain and the rut activity heating up should I still hit up this same clear cut? its public land and I know that changes things but I really would like a second crack at htis guy. Im wondering if my chances are better to go back and try to locate him or is he blown out of the area now???

I would certainly try and find him again. I have been hunting the same 3 bucks all season. A couple 3pts and a big 4x5, I keep jumping them in the same general area. And they really don't seem to have a problem with me sneaking around in their areas.

These bucks however deal with brush pickers all year. So it might make a difference in them not leaving the area and not being very spooked when I jump them.
