Some years the pelts are worth a bunch other years not so much. But if I sell the skins it helps off set the cost of gas. Some years I just bring them to my taxidermist and have them tanned and give them out as xmas presents. I usually don't chase coyotes during the hot months usually because the pelts aren't worth anything and they're doing their part at keeping the rodents down. Besides seems like they get enough pressure from other hunters. But when the calving season approaches, a lot of the ranchers seem happier not to see them around.
