Just remember if it Looks Big, it probably is Big. a 180 buck is a beauty and takes a lot of bone to add up to 180 inches. Look for deep forks; especially in the fronts which can often be weak. Look for eyeguards/browtines. Nice brows can add 6-8+ inches to a rack in a hurry. Don't get too hung up on outside spread as it is a novelty measurement. Often bucks with a large outside spread give up main beam lengths or weak backs. There are more 26-28" typical bucks in the books than 30+ inchers. Mass adds up real fast also and is generally sign of a mature deer. Have fun and good luck. I wouldn't get too hung up on a "number."
