If you still have a tag and are not in the woods rattling right now you are missing out! I've got a buddy up on a spot and told him to put some Moccasin Joes doe scent out and lightly rattle or doe call.  Got a text from him an hour ago that he is dragging out a monster.  He is not a member on here but I will see if I can post a pic when I get it.

I'm out right now in Mason County and it is quiet as a church around here. Been sitting on a nice draw all morning with lots of good fresh sign. Using the doe bleat and grunt tube a few times an hour an no response. I don't have any scent wicks or a rattle bag (damn economy) but look to get some before next season. Still many hours of daylight left though so you never know what could happen.

Seen a lot of deer this last week not one looked like they were in rut, last night 3 out of the 5 does were with fawns and the two 2 pts and a nubbin buck weren't swollen at all(lowlands whatcom county), nothing I'm ready to put my multi-season tag on yet, I know there is a wall hanger out there with my name on it. On a sad note some of you might have seen or heard of the Smith Rd. bucks(TOADS). Well, one of them, Buck vs Car: you know the rest :'(. If anybody has any connections with the city/county. They came out the same morning (17th)and picked him up would love to have a picture of him. Wife tried but all it she got was part of their truck and her side mirror.

Everyone I talk to around here says that someone they know (friend/neighbor/son...etc) has taken a 2 point or better out of this sam area I am hunting, yet I have to see a doe. Starting to think everyone is a liar.

We've seen NO activity in the sw areas yet.

I got a doe yesterday that had a lot of fat on her.

I haven't seen 1 buck all year.
It's not true that I am good for nothing---I can be used as a bad example!!

Pierce county is in to the rut good and hard! My friend saw a nice 4 point with a herd of does in the subdivision he lives in. Said he was out in full light watching over his harem!

A fellow employee of my wife said her husband passed up 3 different forkies yesterday in Hancock!!! They are moving around for sure!!!

Still just does in my yard, and this time of year I usually see a few bucks come hide in my woods.
They usually hang out for the winter (I bowhunt, and no late Archery in 501  :bash:)
