C-Post.Best thing is that it is "any elk" area. However...don't take my word for it...I'm no gamie. Read the regs carefully, know your boundries, and don't shoot any dinks or llamas.
You might see if you can join someone from the site on a hunt. Women seem to get a little preferential treatment for that.
Did late season last year for buck got nothing and no bucks this year yet. Wondering where a good area for elk is on the westside. Thanks
A male elk is called a bull, not a buck
i would stay out of the winston area if it is your first time hunting there it is a freakin zoo and people block the roads up there with there trucks just givin you warning be prepared to deal with alot of b!!!!!!t. i live pretty close to there i dont go near there during modern elk season. look in the regs there are other areas i would try. i hunt modern but i stay out of that area for elk. good luck

We are going to be in the Winston Unit because my husband drew a cow tag. But it would be nice to know someone first.
QuoteA male elk is called a bull, not a buck I'm pretty sure she was referring to deer.
Yup I was told Winston is a great place to hunt. Hunting that area next weekend. Plans fell through with my hunting partner and will be hunting with some guys from the site up around Stampede pass. Good luck.
Another vote for C-POST!!!
