C-Post.

Best thing is that it is "any elk" area. However...don't take my word for it...I'm no gamie. Read the regs carefully, know your boundries, and don't shoot any dinks or llamas.

Lewis unit..
It can be rough country though.
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

I agree, C-post is the place to go.

You might see if you can join someone from the site on a hunt. Women seem to get a little preferential treatment for that.

Just wanted to bump this thread. I was up in C-Post this morning checking my cams. The bulls that use this for their home range are indeed still making all kinds of noise. I busted a small group, maybe 20 or so animals and saw one nice bull and a smaller one run off with the cows. If you are still working on filling a tag I'd get up there quick.

you are close to the skookumchuck area, and also to Winston, Get out there and do some scouting, there is no C-post. If you are going to hunt, you have about 4 days to scout make it worth it......

I would like to but not knowing anyone is a little scary. I will go to the womens site and see if I can join in there. Next year I will be a little more prepared and start finding hunting partners sooner..

We are going to be in the Winston Unit because my husband drew a cow tag.  But it would be nice to know someone first.
