State land Access
« on: November 03, 2011, 10:15:25 AM »
I have a place I want to hunt and it is state land but to access it you need to go down a drive way. The first house that you come to is the land owners son and he says you cant hunt because its a " limited access" easement for the state, But if you talk to the land owner he says "its not my land, no problem". So how do I find out from the state who's land it is or who can use it? I've done this with county easements but not with state easements. I thought that  the state HAS to provide the public with the land WE own.

I guess I want to know for sure so my rig dosen't get messed with and I have legal rights to be there. Ive done this on the county level with official papers that the land owner signed when he got a boundry line adjustment and still puts up no trespassing signs on the county easements
