Went out with one of my good hunting buddies (skybuster) and shot a few coots. I did this in order to make some coot jerky and give it a try. Does anyone have a good recipe for making duck jerky, that I coud try out on coots?
Did they flush or didja shoot 'em on the water? I've never seen 'em fly before (I don't think??). I've heard they are night flyers.
1/2 cup soy sauce3/4 cup worchestireshire sauce2 teaspoons ground black pepper1/4 cup liquid smoke6 tablespoons garlic powder1/2 cup brown sugarSpread this mixture over sliced meat and marinade for 8 hoursDehydrate for 8 or so and it is very deliciousThis is my duck jerky recipe and my venison recipeIt is delicious,Mike
