passayten/tripod fire questions

I cruised through the tripod this last week and it is BAD. I did not make it to iron gate or chewak, but 30 mile is right on the edge of the burn and will affect my hike in plan. has anyone been in on the north east side since the fire? curious what to expect.

A friend was in the Loomis vacinity last weekend and he saw deer everywhere like usual.
I am concerned about East Chewuch, trying to get info out of the authorities is like pulling hens teeth.
