some winter feeding ideas
« on: November 21, 2011, 10:49:59 AM »
So I have about 150lbs of apples picked for this years deer herd around
the property and was wondering if there was any thing else I could throw
into the mix that is inexpensive? probably be able to pick up a alfafa bale or
2 but they seem to tear through that pretty fast plus its 10-15$ a bale for
80lbs or whatever. I work on a farm so occasionally I have access to
kale and chard and the next time there throwing some away i'll nab that but
the blacktails don't seem to appreciate it so will the muleys not eat it?

We feed Allstockpellets from Dels.  About $10 for 50 or 40 pounds.

Sheep salt with selenium is also good to spread around. I pay around $8 for a 50 lb bag
