In honor of what happened to you I am making an anti-theft device. It involves a piece of paper, a marker, and tape. I will post it here for all to use:
step 1: gather supplies
step 2: use marker to make shapes on paper. I used the following shapes: WARNING TO THIEVES and VANDALS: YOU ARE IN RANGE!
Step 3: drive to parking location
step 4: Park
step 5: Use tape to adhere paper with designs to window. I prefer masking tape to avoid residue.
Step 6: (optional) Stay near truck but out of site and keep eye on truck. Fire at invisible game when someone attempts thievery or vandalism.

Last year when hunting in there myself and another member on the site got our helmets stolen. I had my little brother with me so all together we had 3 helmets taken.

I would add some other shapes so it looked like: WARNING TO VANDALS AND THIEVES:  I CAN SEE MY TRUCK AND YOU ARE IN RANGE

Aside from the risk of it getting stolen also, I have been thinking about stashing a trail cam next to my rig so its out of sight, but still covers the area around my rig.  A flash model would not be wise of course, but mine is the IR model so it would be at minimal risk of discovery in low light conditions.

I really doubt that any of these dirtbags that cruise these areas looking to mess with parked rigs would even consider the possibility of a hidden camera.  Hide it good, cover any of the indicator lights that may come on when the sensor is tripped with tape and you may have just what you need for a report if there are any problems while you are away.

Also, would give you a good idea of how many rigs come and go through that particular area/road.
