As mentioned in the story his hunting buddy helped with the retrieves. Here is picture of his hunting buddy on opening of duck season.
They are truly the original ODD COUPLE. 90lbs versus 10lbs.
But it is true what they say......hunting with ANY dog is better than hunting without a dog.
