Another Poached Elk: GMU 460
« on: December 13, 2011, 08:12:44 AM »
Found a cow yesterday in  gmu 460 out in stossel creek right at the gate, they took the meat so it wasnt the whole thing. They had killed it the night before.. Damn shame because there aren't a lot of elk in there  :bash:

My buddy and I have found 2 in the last month 3 weeks apart! One bull with just the head and sex organs gone and a calf with no meat taken :bash: :bash:! Why?

This elk area is in that unit! Could have been a permit.

Armadillo is right, Stossel Creek isn't even close to area 4601.   4601 is primarily the valley proper around North Bend.  Stossel Creek is way north of that.

Stossel creek is closer to monroe. but its still 460.

One moment you're flying south for the winter, then - BANG - gravy.

Thats a shame. I heard that there really arent many elk in stossel. This will just hurt that even more.

yeah I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt so I made sure to check the special permit hunts before reporting what I found.

I havent been called back or anything on it, I suppose that since I dont have any people to turn in, its not priority with them but Im glad to help em keep tally on that stuff so they know how bad it is
