Urban Blacktails
« on: December 17, 2011, 02:31:24 PM »
I'm no photographer by any means :chuckle:  These guys were out in the neighbors' yard.  They stood there grooming each other and feeding.  There were 2 does hanging out with them.  They couldn't have cared less about me taking their picture.  Thought I would share.

That forkie has some cool white spots.  Is it the angle of the deer or does that forkie have a bigger body then the 3 point?  The second picture looks like hes bigger bodied... probably the angle  :dunno:

They look to be a nuisance.   I still have a deer tag too.   It would be just like shooting elk on a golf course.

I kind of thought the forkie looked a little bigger too.  His fur is quite a bit thicker and I think the angle has something to do with it.  Looking at other pics, he is not far behind the 3 pt.  These pics are on base in a no hunting zone.  The does will walk right up to my front yard and stare at me like "Where's our apples?"  You don't see the bucks very often and they are a little more wary of humans but as long as you don't get within 50 yards of them, they'll just hang out.  The forkie has several little white areas on him.  I see that a lot around here.
