Bigshooter, I'd like to suggest taking it a step further.Organizations such as Defenders of Wildlife have become very good at getting people riled up to support their agendas; they have set up their web page to allow their followers to easily send their propaganda and political pressure to the key “decision makers” whoever they may be. I would like to suggest the administrators of this forum follow their example. If someone in Washington for Wildlife can set up such a webpage that would help the members of this forum quickly communicate to key “decision makers”; it can be a very powerful tool. However, there is a more pressing issue at hand. I looked at the message that Defenders of Wildlife is sending to whoever the “decision makers” are and modified it a bit. I think the Idaho Department of Fish and Game could use some input from us also. Consider sending the following message to them by using this link:http://fishandgame.idaho.gov/feedback/getForm.cfmJust fill in the blanks and submit your comments. Feel free to copy and paste the message below:As an avid supporter of healthy and sustainable ungulate populations and someone who cares about sound, science-based wolf management, I strongly urge you to continue with your plans to use aerial gunning to cull as many as 75 wolves in the Lolo area near Clearwater National Forest in Idaho. The stated reason for the wolf-management plan is that wolves are reducing elk numbers. Thank you for realizing that fact.I ask that your agency continue to practice science-based wolf management, and not capitulate to the misguided and emotionally based propaganda continually disseminated by wolf advocate organizations. Please continue with the planned aerial culling of wolves in the Lolo area near the Clearwater National Forest in Idaho. As a taxpayer, I fully approve of federal resources being used to cull the wolf population to levels that are manageable and that will allow elk and other ungulate populations regain the healthy numbers they had prior to excessive wolf predation.Thank you for considering my comments.
