Anybody been down to the snake lately? Hows the fishing going? I'm planning on making my way down the day after Xmas!

should be good with the 200,000 steelhead over lower granite this year... the tribs are slow due to  low low water and no moisture or run off in weeks!

where about are you planning on fishing on the Snake? Fishing has been up and down in hells canyon depending on the river flow but there are fish around some days you just have to work a bit harder!

Not much action yet.  There was 1 fish in the ladder yesterday.  There's been two boats below the dam.  Don't know if they've had any luck.   Heard that a couple have been caught above the dam.

Snakes good right now, over by the hatchery and at the mouth of the Tucannon are the hottest spots if by boat. If not, then bank fish the Tucannon. Had a 7 fish day there the other day.
Not for self, but for country
