Has anyone used this powder or know anything about it. It came out last summer according to their website but I cannot find any additional info on it.

Black MZ is made by APP... it is the more energetic than the old APP powders but it is still a sugar based powder and it still absorbs water vapor very well.

Jim Shockey Gold in the new Super Powder label is the same thing.

I did shoot this powder with its prescribed specifics 100 grains and a 250 grain projectile.  It did record velocities very close to T7 and BH, but it dod not seem as accurate to me.
Keep shooting muzzleloaders - They are a blast!!

Thanks for the info. I think we'll go with T7 anyway.

Personally - i think that is the best choice... I always use T7-3f for my cap guns - but I hunt in some awful cold weather here in Northern Idaho... 3f is easier to ignite in the cold than is 2f.
