pulled my camera after eight months
« on: June 11, 2012, 11:14:45 PM »
I wish my camera didnt drain batteries in 23 days. I was pissed to see that pics ended less than a month after i set it up. I put it on mt peak in enumclaw and got some cool elk pics. I got super lucky because when i set it up there were only deer trails up there. So as I am hiking up to retrieve my camera I notice four wheeler trails everywhere. the trails ended up going right next to my camera which they must have seen but not messed with. thank you.

Cool they didnt mess with it. Did you use lithium batterys? In my trophy cam witg lithiums it fills the 32 gig sd card before the batterys die

I know my can drain normal batteries fast. I bought the ultimate lithiums and after 4 months I was able to use the batteries in my point and shoot camera for another 500 pics and that camera will eat normal batteries in less than 20 pictures.

I think 23 days in December on D batteries is exceptional..the dbl A cams are the ones that last the longest and I would be hard pressed in cold weather on lithium batts for 3 months

You would think the cams with the D cells would last the longest but it's true it see,s the smaller the battery size the longer the batts last. I still have on cam In the field that uses D's and it's by far my worst performing battery wise. The cams that use C's probably last double and the cams that use AA's are probably the best performing.
