elk area 1011 worth the time?
« on: December 27, 2011, 10:10:43 PM »
im gonna have to do some more research on the boundaries but does anyone have any input?  i have been in alaska since july and missed all the hunts...sure would like to go out and at least have a chance at one this year.  just not sure if it would be worth the haul out of yakima.  what do you think?

i just went in and talked to pops about it, if there is some area to get into with animals ide love to not eat tag soup 13 years in a row! if we get some good answers and dad decides he wants to do the drive ( his gas money) maybe we can hook up and help each other out with what we are seeing. cover more ground that way.

I am confused though.  Elk Area 1010 has no real area but arrows pointing to both Elk Areas 1011 and 1012.  Does that mean 1010 is the combination of both areas?

3911 is in the colockum 1011 is in unit 162, next to 1112.  Area 1010 is the combination of area 1011 and 1012.

3911 is the farmers fields in the colokum that bigfoot has chased all of the elk to.

Watch out for Bfoot.  They have eaten all the elk and deer, and they are starting to prey on whatever other mammals they can find.  I saw one eating a pack of wolves the other day... :dunno:

A quick answer to the subject question is "No"

not much huntable land and the elk get kicked off of it pretty quickly.

I guess it would be better than sitting on the couch though.
