highland lakes

 anyone make it up to any highland lake's yet?   had such a great snowfall last winter that many are still probally frozen. we usually go to boulder on the 4th....not this year

I've been to a couple at/around 3,000 ft here on the west-side.
Fishing was great!

There were some small piles of snow still scattered in the shady areas, but not much in the way hiking or fishing. I was hoping to get a little more fishing in this weekend, but it looks like a trip over to the sunnyside is necessary (pick up some heifers).  :'(
I left it better than I found it...did you?
I hunt animals because veggies are too easy to stalk.

Blue Lake (Baker area) is still mostly frozen over.

 did a x-country hike to a 4000ft  lk this weekend,  still needs about another week or two of warm weather. north lake "granite area"  all should be thawed out soon.  i like to hit them high mountain lakes in aug. so i can pack my gun anyway
