Stewarts sucks AZZ!!! Learn how to cut your own meat! Especially if youre just getting burger and steaks. It's easy and will save you the grief of takin it to that hole!!!

Haha I know that business! And if you are affiliated with BUTCHES business then you shouldn't be trying to advertise on a subject that any hunter with common sense knows is gonna bring mixed reviews! And who are you to talk about getting me kicked off? Settle down BIG guy and as you would say! Go take a chill pill! If you don't like the reviews on the business then make sure people get their own meat back! I work in the meat industry and I know details!

Like I said don't run your mouth about a controversial subject and not expect to get negative feedback! I know what I know! And it had nothing to do with here say, and obviously other people here know it as well! I will never recommend that anyone bring their critters to Stewarts! Have a great day yelm!

On the first page of this thread Yelm Hunter claimed that he used a shovel and pushed the gut pile off the road, now he says that he left it there. In another thread he claimed to be a fishing guide and now he's a butcher.

Growing up in the town of Yelm I wish that he woldn't give our town a bad name :dunno:

That's exactly what I'm getting at! Seems like he's full of it! Claims to be a meat cutter yet has someone else cut his meat! I call bs!

I do cut and wrap my own meat... And if you want to talk about my BUSINESS go right ahead because I'll make sure that you are NO LONGER on this website!!!

Thank You VERY MUCH!!!

Not sure who this is directed at, but I will tell you from my own experiences (yes, twice) that Stewarts Meats in Mckenna will never get my business nor my recommendation. I will always suggest an alternative and tell my experiences to another hunter so they don't get shafted the way I did at Stewarts.

As for threatening to make sure someone is no longer on this website...I am pretty sure you don't have the ability or the pull, so no more threats ok?

Can we get back to the original question?  Seems the hunting was poor, only one cow taken in the Winston unit?  I was hoping to see lots of success.  During the general season we saw only one elk, a bull, I shot it.  I was dissapointed we didn't see more game.  My husband had a cow tag and we were sure that would have been filled and not necessarily the bull tag. Don't get me wrong, we filled the freezer and I'm pleased but I enjoy seeing lots of animals also.

Uhh, I hate to pile on, but IMHO, stewarts did not do a great job on a friends elk, and I would personally not take any game animals there for cutting.  I do think their fresh meat products are fine.

Steen, I filled my winston cow late season tag on day 1....pretty easy hunt, only shot a two year old cow, but it is in the freezer.

I personally know of 4 cows taken out of winston on the late hunt so far (Icemans included) so there are critters coming out.

As far as Stewarts, I wouldn't take a 10 year old dairy cow there, because thats the one time I WOULD get my own meat back!!
