I have a trip scheduled this coming Friday.  I went up to lake chelan for a 2 day trip last fri. and sat. and only ended up with one fish. Got some info from some of you on here but there has to be something I am doing wrong.  :chuckle:   So I called up Joe from Lake Chelan adventures and he had an opening for Friday. Just wondering how your trips with him went??

Thanks Greg

Never gone with him but from the pics he posts everyday on FB and www.washingtonlakes.com he knows how to catch fish.

I fished with Darrel and Dad's before. They did a great job. My parents live in Chelan and I have fished it numerous times. If you ever need a partner and some tips, pm me. I sold my boat when I was living in Texas and have been itching to get back out. I know the holes and channels to fish.

I have fished with Darrel and Dad's also.  They are awesome. The young kid knows his stuff. My boys had a blast. The pics speak for themselves.

How are Lake Trout to eat? I've heard they are very oily, only good for smoking. I've never eaten them obviously but was thinking about taking a trip for them myself.
I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I'm not!

Lake Trout make for some excellent table fare.  Broiled or deep fried.  Nice white meat, not oily.

Well it was an awesome morning of fishing. We froze our buts off!! Slight wind. The heated cab was great to get out of the cold! Had the lines in the water for maybe 10 minutes before we got the first fish. Joe is a great guide on lake chelan. He will work his but off for all his clients. He not only gets you on the fish but teaches you a lot of great info on catching trout.  I also ended up with a nice rainbow trout. Total of 15 fish!  Was a great trip. I would recommend anyone who wants to fish for lake trout to go with Joe From Lake Chelan Adventures. Top Notch!!!

Here is his web site for anyone looking to book a trip.

:chuckle: :chuckle:  The jokes were a highlight of the day. He is a funny guy!! I only wish I could tell some of them like he does. We were trying to remember how they went on the way home to tell a few friends.   :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

His jokes and stories are the best but man, those lil johnny jokes are amazing.  And its true i cant remember soon as i get out of the boat.  I have know idea how he remembers so many. rarely have i heard the same joke.  All the while he has outriggers out, down riggers and poles out the back and never gets tangled!!!

What sort of weight was your string?  I'm working the wife on "hey honey cheap fish....." and the fact that kids are free with paying adult.  Looks like a 4 hour trip for the wife/kids is in order though a full day wouldn't be bad either.... (though it is cold right now yes?)

(What sort of weight was your string?)  Not sure what you mean??    He is $135 per person for a 4hr. trip     $185  per person for an 8hr. trip.     It is well worth the price!!!   He does a hell of a job for the people that he takes out.

:chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:   I get it now.  :chuckle:  No really sure. Never weighed them. But guessing 30-40 lbs  :dunno:  Biggest fish was about 9 lbs.  Some nice pink colored meat with a few lighter ones.
