Its a small world guys! SAMISH here it is!
« on: July 19, 2008, 11:01:59 PM »
So, I posted my Gpas last deer pic a few times on here, but most recently under "favorite memories of hunting pics' or something.

I get this PM from Samish (a complete stranger on here, to my knowledge) asking where the deer was shot...describes the car used. I give the details and he finishes the story.

The story goes:

Gpa and I were at this landing having coffee (basically, just wanted to hang out of a bit)....he spots a deer...I never did see it. He was going to take a shot and we couldnt find the clip for his gun, so he uses mine, since we had matching guns.

He pops the deer and shortly after Samish shows up...which I totally forgot until he PM'ed me on it!

Now its your turn to tell the story Samish! Man..thanks for reminding me of that. And thanks for the help back then. It brings a smile to my face to this day. Sorry we beat you to it.... ;)

We had seen that buck several days before the season while we were cuttin wood. I think it was between seasons. (Long time ago) we had killed a 3 pt a little smaller than that one the day before, and were back on the upper landing lookin for that one. We  Could see Sayleen and his grandad on the landing below us where that buck was hangin out. When we heard the shot, we went over to see if they had killed the buck. Sure enough!!  Gave them a hand loadin him into the rig. We finished our season a couple hrs later with a little 2 point. Glad ya beat us to him. Made for a great memory for you and your grand father.
