Double antler

These were found a couple hundreds yards from my house.  Could have been a set found about 50 yards from each other in the brush but at separate times.

I have heard several cause for that.  One being genetic and the other being an injury when the growth first starts.  The Pend Oreille Valley Sportsman in Newport has an elk mount with one antler growing out of the side of his head right behind his eye.
