Thanks Rainshadow!
« on: January 15, 2012, 08:27:30 PM »
I went and watched his seminar on calling cougars at Cabelas. While there he demonstrated all the different vocalizations the he has and has heard. I now can no longer convince myself otherwise. All those times I tried to tell myself I didn't just walk past a potential den and those whistles were birds... Shattered! It was a great presentation once the mic got fixed...ish, and they turned down the music. I learned a little more than I knew before and will probably not feel as alone in the woods. It will help me stop wasting my time in a spot calling for dogs when I knew there's a kitty I don't have a tag for somewhere close.

Now!   Listen for those sounds when you are on the 2am hike in, or the moolight call, or calling elk or...... :chuckle:

Precisely why I'm not out there in the dark. That and nobody wants to come out and sit still for an hour at a time in the middle of the woods with bigfoot screaming at us.

I will second the thanks to Rainshadow.  This is the second talk I have heard from him and I picked up more information.
