New to trail cameras

I just ordered 3 of these. The reviews were pretty good and the price was good so I took a chance on them. I have a feeling this is going to be another addiction just like bow hunting...

WOW, that looks like a heck of a deal. For that price you will only get real mad when one get stolen or eaten by a bear instead of PI$$ED like most guys that pay the big bucks. Yes, it is addicting and it is legal year round so as soon as you figure out how long the batteries last you will have them up and then it will be a test of will power as to how long they can be up without you having to go check the pics. There are  a ton of post on here about lock boxes and cables and public and private land and all that, bottom line if you cannot afford to lose them do not put them up. I have been doing it for a few years and so far have not lost one but it is only a matter of time. I put them on our property and still get photos of people every year  .
 A few quick tips. Try to face the camera north as you should not get too many sun pictures. Put some sort of bait/attractant in front of the cam so the critters will hopefully stop for a few. If puting it on a trail point it the same direction as the trail is going, passing shots generally do not turn out well as you usually only get the butt of whatever it was  . Other than that welcome to your new addiction, looking forward to seeing how those cams work for you and post what you get.

I just got two of those. Ordered one first and tried it out, then ordered another one a week later.

I've been doing trail cameras for about 2 years now, and more often than not I've got at least 3 or 4 out in the woods, and just yesterday I experienced my first ever stolen camera. It had only been there 1 week. I checked it after 4 days and had thirty or forty pictures of elk, then checked it again 3 days later (yesterday) and it was gone.

You'll read about stolen trail cameras a lot on here, so just know that you need to either lock them up or put them in places where nobody in their right mind would go, unless you can afford to lose one occasionally. The one I lost was a Tasco and I only paid $40 for it, so I'm not too heartbroken, and I did get 10 months use out of it so it's not like it was a brand new camera. But still....   

My two new WGI cams will partially make up for it but still I like having the white flash cameras for when I want color pictures.
