« on: February 21, 2012, 05:09:59 PM »
Here are 2 of only 5 that I got after a 2 week soak with no bait. So far I am likeing my new hobbie. I have more of these cams in the Lewis river unit and will be checking those next weekend. I will be bringing some bait with us too.

Cool man, I blame HW for my trailcam addiction now.  I learned a lot by following the threads on here, and still have much to learn.  You should move your cam lower and more in a opening for better pix, seems like after a new set up, after the first soak I always need to tweek the cam to get the best results for my efforts.  Can't wait to see more from ya.
When you see the third, thin the herd.
Right now I'm somewhere picking up sheds.

Welcome to your new addiction!  I'm assuming you put the camera up high in order to hide it from other people? I suppose getting pictures of elk obscured slightly by fir limbs is better than coming back to check your camera and finding that it has somehow grown legs and walked away.

What are you going to use for bait? One thing about bait is that someone will be a lot more likely to notice your camera, when they see the bait and start looking around.

I pulled that cam out of there. The tree branches that you see in the pics are about ten foot from the cam. Its strange how it look like it is rite there... :dunno: I was going to try some Wet Cobb and some minirals. The Cams I have out in the Lewis unit are in a more open area but back off the road alot farther than I had this cam. :chuckle:
