I do not and have not, but I will say that if a rifle had that effect on me, I'd be buying one and wouldn't bother asking on here.

Well, you cant really compare a factory rifle vs. a custom.. no comparison, custom wins everytime.

We are talking about a hand lapped barrel, bolt face and lugs squared, action, receiver, etc all made perfect and specifically for this application.

Sako is not in the same league. Especially the 7mm Rem Mag.. that is the BOTW signature rifle pretty much.

I checked it out at the show, pretty nice set up. I am building one right now in 7mm, Hart barrel/brake with Ruger action though and likely a Nightforce scope and will be well under the $6500 mark that setup goes for.

Yeah, I will have to agree.. that is is almost easier to take a base factory and add some custom elements like a new barrel, stock, bedding and have the lugs squared up and save yourself some $!

I did that with my Rem 700...

Started off as XCR II in 300 RUM..

Junked the stock.. got a HS Precision with a beavertail forend and swelled palm grip
Junked the barrel.. Got a 26 5A" Douglas Contour
Threw a Huskamaw scope on there and a Karsten Cheek Piece and finally had it all put together and fitted by now retired, Dan Cowen .

Total was under 5K

I would put it up against a cooper.

Looks as if Cooper fell in line with the Greybull "Turn key" system.

I have never handled one of the Coopers but from reviewing searches on the rifle. It is in the same price range as the Greybull system but the componates used in the Cooper system are of a higher quality than that of the Greybull system.

" Turn key " Systems don't do anything for me. If I'm going to build a custom, it's going to be a complete custom to fit my wants and likes specifically. Especially choice in optics, I have the time to develop loads. I don't have any need whatsoever to purchase a system where as I just have to pull it out of the case, range my game, dial my dope and slap the trigger. I Prefer to be much more involved personally in my custom builds. I can build a hell of a custom for 7K

I talked to them as well.  They said they will take my Remington 700 rifle add a new barrel and all the other minor elements, add the huskma (SP?) scope and I would be out the door for $2,600.  Seems to be much cheaper then buying new.

I have a sako in 30-378 that shoots well . I was tossing the idea around about barreling it and stocking it , and adding the  5x20. Just wondering how much I wanna get into the gun. the turn key system for me works well since i'm not a reloading junky and spending a ton of time working a system up has its ups and downs . I understand if thats your jig then more power to you. In a lil leary of dumping a ton in a rifle and not beeing overwhemed with how it shoots . I think there system if followed is pretty failsafe and your paying for the R&D they have put into it. the guy did say that he would throw the level and angle meter in  ( lol). that matte finish with the black and blue stock is a sweet looking set up , I really liked there trigger @2lbs. plus the old 30-378 would make a good back up. I figured if I sold all my other long guns I could make the down payment on that cooper ! I guess i've spent more money on bad vaccations that when you get home you got nothing .
