I thi.k the Little Naches is way over rated. The Blues and the Colockum will have your biggest bulls. But they are basically OIL tags. Keep in mind I can't remember the last time a bowhunter connected on a branch bull in the Colockum.

Your best bet for easier to draw tags that will still get you into big bulls are the Yakima GMUs that have no general archery season.. such as Observatory, Goose Prairie (general season but its spike only so nobody hunts it) Cowiche and Bethel.  This way there isn't a sea of people pressuring the bulls. This means the elk will be plenty vocal.

:bash: :bash: You guys are killin me. The only thing the Blues is good for if you draw a tag for big bull bigfoot. Don't make Pathfinder get the pics out. Just ask Colockumelk for a whirlybird ride around the Colockum to see the monster bull elk, all of which are in his home territory.

Blues elk have gone down drastically since the wolves have moved in, it's hit and miss, probably have a better chance finding a bull up in ne wa or in the cascades in a draw unit. ;)

If you are in good shape and have packers or horses the wildernesss is a good spot, otherwise give Dayton a try, don't go anywhere near the tucannon, it's void of any elk ; )

No kidding...with taking a bull like that in an any elk unit in WA, you may be disapointed in what you end up with from a draw unit  :chuckle:
