Got a vacation trip planned to Puerto Rico end of the month and wondered if anyone has gone there and tried a fishing trip. Looks like they have some good fishing to be had. Tks nwhunter

I caught a couple of tarpon off a boat tied to the Starkist cannery dock back in the 80's, but that's it for me.  Good luck and have fun.  I'll be fishing in Costa Rica, Pacific side, at about the same time.   :IBCOOL:

Passport costs have definitely gone crazy, had two renew the two kid's ones and I think it was $90 or more each.  At least my daughter's one will last 10 years now, the boy gets a new one in five again.  I think they just raised prices again since we renewed last week.   :bash:

Of course, we are not bringing the kids to Costa Rica with us!   :chuckle:  A week from tomorrow.

Ya I am boycotting a passport  as long as I can so our trip destinations reflect that. i booked a tarpon trip today with a well known guide down there who will let my boys go for the same price. Never gone on a guided trip before but we may never be back so what the heck. 2 weeks and counting to sand and sunshine! Enjoy your trip. nwhunter

One week from tonight for the first night in CR!  Woohoo!  Hope you and the boys have a blast as well!  Good fishing!
