notice the g1 on the right side is missing in all but the first pic?

if you look carefully, in picture one the bull on the left is the one that loses the antlers, looks like elk on the right (in the first picture) walked to the other side of the other bull before he shook off the antlers
or,.. the photographer pointed the camera more to the right after the first picture, and the bull on the right that loses his anters in pictures 2,3,4 is not even in picture 1.  either way, the bull that is on the right in picture 1 is on the left in picture 2,3,4.   also if you look at the clump of grass in the middle of picture 1, you'll see that the clump is way to the left in pucture 2,3,4. so the camera was pointed more to the right in picture 2,3,4 than pic 1.

Yeah just got back on to give the correct spelling of his name, Gerry Lamarre.  And now I am about 90% sure those are not St. Helens bulls after seeing the pics again.   :chuckle:
When you see the third, thin the herd.
Right now I'm somewhere picking up sheds.

Also the bull that sheds is the bull on the left in the first pic, I remember talking to him about it.

I'm very curious now to where these bulls were photographed, I have his contact number in my old phone, if I remember after work ill see if it still gets him and ill ask the man.  They could be Jewel Refuge bulls, at least look more like those bulls down there.

Spot on!

Duh-oh!
I'd just like to remind everybody that it's about the hunting, not just the killing. In other words, it's about the total experience, the sport itself and the challenge involved. Bowhunting, done right, is a justifiable and honorable pursuit. Done for the wrong reasons, simply chalking up kills and seeking personal glory, it's taking away rather than giving back to a principled way of life that has to be experienced to be understood. I grew up living next door to the photographer Gerry Lamarre. He took the picture on January 21 1984 at the Tule Elk Reserve outside of Bakersfield California. I have the picture with a article from Outdoor life April 1987 taped to the back of it. This is NOT a photo-shoped picture. I remember as a kid his garage was full of framed pictures and I thought he had the coolest motorcycle because it was camouflage. He even hung a few deer heads in our house because he did not have enough room in his house.
WDWF needs to get a clue before it's to late!!!

Yeah he had some nice mounts.  Liked how he had the upstairs done with all his trophies, especially liked his Billy.  Too bad they all burnt up, its a shame.
