Nope, mostly a thrill kill like a shark feeding frenzie. That is the reason I want to kill a wolf this year.

According to the wolf lovers, they will feed on the same kill and then put their paper plate in the recycle bin.when theyre all done.

I have often wondered about this. I know cougars will take a break after the kill to recover. Maybe the wolves needed time to recover from the chase and lick their wounds. Then snowmobiles/hikers or humans in general will drive them from the kill. They may return they may not, especially if the humans scent the area up.

Are there any follow up shots from the next day or a couple of days later?

Wolves kill for the sure fun of the chase, and the blood lust. All canines have done this. They do not eat but about half of what they kill. So yes, you will see more and more pictures like this, HERE IN THIS STATE soon. .

Wait till that first 400 class bull is found like the bull in the above picture....

Very good point Brandon... Since alot of the pictures I see are of animals they have killed and not of the whole animal being consumed....This could be why ! People are out looking for wolf kills and they walk up on it leaving their sent everywhere and the wolves do not return ....

People I know who spend a lot of time around wolves have seen many "sport" kills that are never touched again. For those that don't believe that does happen, you will be able to see the evidence soon enough right here in Washington as wolves multiply.

Its well known and documented that they will thrill kill... there are many times they will consume most everything of their kill, but that is NOT a rule. They are opportunistic killers and will kill whatever they can. If they are hungry, they will eat it... if not... well... they wont eat it.

120 sheep in MT on one ranch in one night. To my knowledge, none of them were consumed. They definitely thrill kill.

What bothers me more than anything is the fact these animal lovers talk about how cruel it is to kill animals but do they realize that the wolves and coyotes are the cruelest of all .... they kill their pray from the ass forward ...now how can anyone like that , even the animal lovers ....but its O.K it is a wolf not man !!

Maybe the wolf lovers need their asses chewed on .....

The last time someone said hunting is cruel, I replied that nature is infinitely more cruel. When an animal dies at my hand, it's usually instantaneous. When Nature does it, she's cruel and slow. Wolves don't go for the jugular. Starvation takes months. Parasitic diseases do too. This makes sense to reasonable people. It'll never get through to the zealots.

It really bothers me Piano.... how can they say this is o.k ...your right , at least hunters try to end it as quickly as possible but they just see it one way
