My biggest bass
« on: July 25, 2008, 08:44:35 PM »
Caught this lady today off of a green headed jig, with white body (crappie jig), off my dock at about 15 feet...this is the biggest one I have caught here so far, measured 19.5 inches. What a great fight! I loved it!

I ran in, took the photo and released her. I also caught several small perch.

Next time get a girth measurement too and you can do a mathematical formula and figure out the weight. I think for bass it's length x girth squared divided by 800 I know for salmon and steelhead it's length x girth squared divided by 775. But I'm pretty sure it's 800 for Bass. My largest was a Largemouth that went 23.5 x 16.5 for 7lbs 9oz.
