Sounds awesome, too bad its during my finals week.  Hopefully there is a next year so I can go.

I am pretty excited to go to your event. I was actually telling my dad we need to reload and practice on those longer shots. A few of us are going Pdog hunting this summer so this event will be good practice and overall great experience.

next year i think we will have it a bit earlier   and maybe try to get two a year in after this year gets going and off the ground.

it would be goud practice for pd hunts. there is a group that is coming through that weekend to go on a pd huntin mt or the dakotas and they want to shoot the small game course for paractice and to see where thier rifles are hitting before they head over.

good idea to me.

one thing i learned from pd hunting this winter in colorado was dont forget the range finder, but we had tons of fun as i have never shot pd's. i cant wait to do it again

What sort of regulations for rifles and sights? Entry fees, etc?  Sounds like a great idea!

there will be two courses a small game and a big game. you can either pay 25$ for one course or 40$ for both courses. you can bring two guns one 6mm or under for the small game and one bigger for the big game or just shoot one gun that will do it all (the state maximum rifle weight of 15lbs will be inforced). what ever sights you want weather it be a huskemaw, simmons or red dot scope it doesnt matter. you will be able to range the target and have two chances to hit the target. if you hit a clean kill on the first shot more points, if you hit on the second shot less points and obviosly if you dont hit then no points. there will be some sweet prizes and not just for the winners.

if intrested in participating e mail me at caleb@longrangeshooter.com and ill get you on my list

i may have been wrong in saying that washington has a 15lb limit i had seen something on longrangehunting and then seen something about 15 lbs max in the regs, but it didnt say plainly hunting rifle must weight under 15 lbs. i sent an email to fish and game to ask for sure, so we will see. if there is not then  will remove the rule. i know idaho does have one at 16lbs to keep the 50's and other huge calibers limited some so it wasnt hard to believe that washington could have been 15. when i find out for sure ill let everyone know and post it. i just want the shoot to be close to a real hunting scenario.

thanks,
  caleb
