4 More NE WA Wolves in GMU 105 (big tracks)
« on: February 23, 2012, 08:46:34 PM »
I will have to add the photos that my friend found today with my phone. These are fresh tracks, it snowed this morning, 4 adults traveling together in high remote country, Northport side (eastside) of GMU 105.

I think the 5 are on the westside where McIrvins lost all the cattle.

There was 6 on the eastside and I think these 4 are now what's remaining of the previous 6. These 4 will likely become about 10 come spring.  :bash:

Well dang. Now I have to make a trip over to check my cams. On a side note, A guy I work with has a son that was hunting cats in Idaho and his partner took a HUGE white/gray wolf. I'm telling you this thing was HUGE. It was wieghed by fish and game. I was asked not to post anything more than that.....it is going to featured in a upcoming magazine. Dale, you may have heard about it. Killed somewhere up by the St.Joe I believe.
Just one more day

This can't be true because I heard personally about 6 weeks ago the McIrvins claiming they had cattle killed and then the official Dona Luers from WDFW came on in the interview and said they can't have wolves because the closest pack is over 100 miles away.  So these can't be wolf tracks according to the expert WDFW people.  Although, I did do some research and found an article in the Spokesman Reveiw from 2007 about the first calf killed in the state was at the McIrvin Ranch and it was confirmed and they got compensation.   Seems the experts need to at least check their own data before they start making statements that make them look  _______________(fill in the blank).

There is a trail cam photo of a wolf in GMU 105 in the Wolf Count Topic. The state does not have a clue as to how many wolves they have.  :chuckle:

Photo of 1 wolf on the west side near McIrvins and a photo of 1 wolf on the eastside near Northport. Not to mention the dozens of people who have seen wolves in that unit.
