Sleepless nights (Moose tag)
« on: July 27, 2008, 04:54:44 AM »
I don't know about the rest of you guy's who drew a moose tag, but it's going to be a long 2 months for me. I keep waking up around 3 am thinking about my up coming moose hunt then I can't get back to sleep. Haven't been this excited since I was a kid. :bash:

Know how you feel, funny we still get like that in our 40's. A moose tag is definitely something to be excited about. I drew a goose prarie any bull archery and am excited, nothing like your moose tag. Good luck for the season & have a great time. Mike

I hear you. There is lots to think about and plan. Naturally we are all hoping to do the tag justice. Brian.

try having twin babies at home, they will make sure you sleep every chance you get, even with a moose tag.   :chuckle:.  I must say I am more excited about this hunt then any other though and becuase it is OIL I am really enjoying this stage, I'm afraid the hunt itself may be much shorter than I hope it to be.

LOL, I know how you feel Ben.  I did every shiras moose search on the internet and found everything I could on moose.  I rented every moose video from huntflix.com.  I talked to everyone I could and studied the maps carefully.  I had custom loads prepared for the .358.  I had moose recipes ready to go.  Enjoy the ride.  I get reminiscent of it with you guys going through it and it's fun for me again.

I am right there with ya but I have Washington archery elk the beginning of September and Montana archery elk the end of September to try to keep my mind off of it. Really not looking forward to the hiking we do in Montana but I will be in top shape come October, and looking at those pics of Pope packing his moose, I'm going to need to be :yike:

I think it is great that so many hunt-wa members were drawn for moose. I'm going to lose sleep just waiting to see what you guys/gals bring back.

Up again :bash:3 am, back to bed at 3:45 am, up again can't sleep. I wonder if it has something to do with the hunt? :chuckle: It can't get here fast enough for me. :'(

Dr. Death made a comment on his moose thread about this. So I thought I would bring it back up.  :chuckle:
